The Charlton County School District is hiring bus drivers. Benefits include a Retirement Plan and Health Insurance, along with system paid Dental and Life Insurance. Must be able to drive an AM and PM route requiring a commitment of approximately 3 hours per day.
Training is provided by the district. Must be 21 years of age. $1,000 signing bonus after 90 successful days on the job. If you know a bus driver, talk to them to find out what it's like before you say no to this opportunity!

Power has been restored at all schools in the Charlton County School District. Schools will be open and on regular schedule tomorrow, September 1, 2023.
With power still out at one of our schools and extensive power outages throughout the area, all Charlton County Schools will be closed Thursday, August 31. We plan to return to normal operations on Friday, September 1.
The Charlton County School District will be closed on Wednesday August 30 due to potential severe winds from Hurricane Idalia. All after school activities are cancelled on Wednesday as well. After school activities will continue as planned for today, August 29.
A decision will be made regarding Thursday school closures after the storm has passed and we assess power outages and whether all roads are passable by our buses. Please look for updates Wednesday evening regarding further school closings on the district Facebook page, the News and Live Feed sections of our district website (www.charlton.k12.ga.us), and through our text alert messages.

A celebration and Pep Rally for the State Championship winning Charlton County Indians baseball team will be held Wednesday, May 31st at 5:00 p.m.
The celebration will be held at Indian Field and will include recognition of players and coaches, with time for pictures with players and coaches for anyone interested.
Come out on the 31st and celebrate with your State Champion Charlton County Indians baseball team!
Early Release Notification:
Tuesday May 23 will be an early release day for the Charlton County School District. Wednesday May 24 was already scheduled as an early release day for students since it is the last day of school for the Charlton County School District, however May 23 will be an early release day as well.
School will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. on both Tuesday the 23rd and Wednesday the 24th (Charlton County High will release at 12:45 both days).
