Picture Day: Tuesday -September 12, 2023 Place orders online BEFORE picture day at: www.bpiphotography.net or use the provided picture day order forms, that are sent home.

Early Release Thursday - September 7th. Early release time will be 1:00p.m.

The Charlton County School District will be closed on Wednesday August 30 due to potential severe winds from Hurricane Idalia. All after school activities are cancelled on Wednesday as well. After school activities will continue as planned for today, August 29. A decision will be made regarding Thursday school closures after the storm has passed and we assess power outages and whether all roads are passable by our buses. Please look for updates Wednesday evening regarding further school closings on the district Facebook page, the News and Live Feed sections of our district website (www.charlton.k12.ga.us), and through our text alert messages.

Wednesday, August 30th will be an early release day for all Charlton County Schools. BMS students will begin releasing at 1:00 pm. Please contact BMS if you have any questions.

Please join us for our Fall Input Meeting on Thursday, August 24th at 3:30 pm in the BMS Conference Room. We will discuss our Title I Budget, Compacts, and Parent Involvement Plans.

The 2nd entrance to BMS will be closed for several weeks beginning this afternoon due to construction. Please take the 1st road to enter the middle school until further notice. Thank you.

Bethune Middle School's Drama Club presented Annie Jr. Cast members did AMAZING! A huge thank you to our Director/Music Director Mrs. Graham. A special thank you to the choreographers, Abby Crawford & Addie Jacoby. Thank you to Mrs. Paulk for costume designs. Judson Graham, Joelie Kern, and Lane Potter did outstanding with the lighting and sound design.

Bethune Middle School is proud to announce the Teacher of the Year, Conner Gowen! We appreciate Ms. Gowen and everything she does for the students at BMS and tennis students at CCHS. Congratulations of this deserving honor Ms. Gowen!!! Be on the lookout for an article about Ms. Gowen in the near future.

We enjoyed celebrating our teachers last week for Teacher Appreciation Week! Monday was ice cream sundaes, Taco Tuesday, Wednesday doughnuts & coffee, Thursday an ice cream truck came to visit, and Friday administration cooked breakfast and Dr. Tilley brought doughnuts to show his appreciation to BMS Faculty & Staff! Your administration staff appreciate you very much!!

The BMS concert has been relocated to the BMS Cafeteria. Concert at 6:00 PM.

Parent Reminder: Summer school is May 30th - June 29th. It will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week from 8AM - 12 PM. Bus transportation and lunch will be provided. If you are interested in your child attending, please contact Ms. Ashley Lee, front office secretary, for a packet to be sent home at 912-496-2360. We are excited to provide your child with the opportunity to learn and grow this summer! We look forward to having your child in our Summer Academic Program. All packet requests are due by May 12th.
