
Attention 9th grade parents: Teen Maze is coming to CCHS on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 for 9th grade students. Students in the 9th grade will bring home a passive permission form. If you do not want your child to be involved please sign and return the form to their homeroom teacher. We need these back by February 27, 2024 at 3:30 if you do not want your child to participate in Teen Maze.

This is a reminder that CCHS does not accept any Valentine Day deliveries. Do not bring balloons, gifts of any kind, or candy to share at school.

Charlton County FCCLA had a record number of participants at region competition this past Saturday at Long County High School. Every student put so much work into their project and should be proud of themselves. The following students are state qualifiers and will move on to state competition next month in Athens.
Tyler Alberson, Luz Pena Morales, Josiah Allen-Sanchez, Emily DeRoche, and Reagan Gaston. Congratulations to these and all the students who represented CCHS well. A very special thank you to Mrs. Haynes and her tremendous FCCLA program at CCHS.

The Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) sponsors a District Honor Band and an All-State Band annually to showcase the most talented students in each district and in the state of Georgia. Students are selected for participation by an extremely competitive audition process. Charlton County High School is proud to congratulate Colton Crews for being selected to the GMEA All State Band. Colton is in the 10th grade and plays the bassoon.


Congratulations to our school winners of the Young Georgia Authors Contest. Our winners are:

Writings from these students will go on to compete at the regional level.

An important message for sophomores at CCHS: Heriff Jones will be here Friday, February 2nd at 8:15 for an important class ring meeting.

Attention CCHS Students: Don't forget about daily math tutoring. See the schedule attached and let the teacher that is offering tutoring for the week know if you plan to attend.

Parents we had an issue with our system, so we are sending another report card home today. Since it is the final report card from first semester, you do not need to send it back to school.

With no school for staff Tuesday, we will have make up exams Wednesday. We will see all staff and students on Wednesday.

Anyone that needs to make up a final exam on Tuesday please come to CCHS by 10:00 AM. Teachers are leaving at 11:00 AM due to weather concerns.

CB Insurance will be available to purchase for the Spring semester. This is for students who have not already purchased CB insurance this school year. The cost is $20 (cash and checks only). This will protect the student's device for the remainder of the school year. Sales will be be open January 10-11 and 16-19. Please see Ms. Richard, in the media center, to purchase.


Students: if you are taking an online college class, please log into your Blackboard account today as those classes begin today. College classes on our campus will begin Wednesday.

I know everyone has had an excellent holiday. Please sign in at the office by 7:45 and sign in for the Kagan training by 8:00. Please read the email sent by Mrs. M. Bell as soon as you can.
