The PBIS team would like to recognize the teacher of the month for January. The character words for the month of January were innovative and engaging and the teacher students nominated is Abby Davis!
Students were asked to think of a teacher that has original ideas and teaching strategies. Thank you Mrs. Davis for keeping students involved during instructional time and appealing to all types of learning styles.

Congratulations to our very own Jesse Crews for being selected to receive the Dwight Keith Award from the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association!! Coach Crews will be recognized at the June 4th, 2022 induction ceremony in Dalton, GA.

The wrestling team is headed to state duals in Commerce, GA!! They will compete Saturday, January 22nd, 2022. A GoFan link has been set up to purchase tickets for $15.oo. Good luck to everyone competing!

Attention Sophomores: Herff Jones will be there next Wednesday (January 26th 2022) at 8:00 a.m. for the sophomore ring meeting. We will take orders on Wednesday, February 2nd during lunch and again on Tuesday, February 22nd at 7:45 a.m.

Revised COVID Quarantine Policies Charlton County Schools:
The CDC recently released revised recommendations for quarantine periods for positive COVID cases and exposures. The revised Charlton County School District COVID Policies, based on those CDC revisions as well as flexibility offered to public schools by the Georgia Department of Health are shared here.


Grad Bash Seniors- Today, January 14, 2022, is the last day for refunds on Grad Bash tickets.

Twenty-two members of the CCHS Band of Pride have been selected into the Georgia Music Educators Association District 8 Honor Band. Of these students, Tanner Murray and Caleb Bryant have been accepted into the GMEA All-State Band. Congrats to these students and to our band director Mr. Hersey!

Important message for seniors going to Grad Bash- We will have a brief meeting in the morning at 9:35 in the cafeteria. That will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Important reminder for all students- Please remember to charge your Chromebook tonight to prepare for school starting back tomorrow. We start back Monday, January 10, 2022.

PBIS NEWS: In November, our students began electing a teacher of the month based on a positive character trait. This new PBIS survey was at the request of several students that felt that teachers should be acknowledged for positive character traits just as students are each month. Our winner for November was Erin Cooper who was nominated for encouragement. Our December winner was Tracey Willis who was nominated for empathy. Please help us in congratulating these two amazing teachers!

The Nutrition and Food Science class at CCHS participated in a chili cookoff yesterday. Please help us congratulate the winning students:

Important message for seniors at CCHS. All senior pictures have been moved to Wednesday, December 15, 2021. They are going to do all the seniors on that day. That is with or without a sitting fee. There are no senior pictures tomorrow.

Students, the early release permission form is due on Friday, December 10. Turn it in at the attendance office.

Shoutout to our holiday helpers that volunteered at the Christmas parade this past weekend: Laura Daly, Sania Jordan, Malaysia Muhammad-Johnson, Gabriela Pena Morales, Luz Pena Morales, BaJeah Rhoden, & Emilee Zetmeir. Our students are always willing to lend a helping hand in our community, and we are so proud! Also, thank you to our local chamber of commerce for providing opportunities for students to serve our community!
