Georgia State School Superintendent Richard Woods visited Folkston Elementary School this week to present the school with a Literacy Leader banner. This banner was awarded to elementary schools in Georgia that had 90% or higher achievement in 3rd grade reading on the 2023 state assessment, or 15% growth from the previous year. FES had over 92% achievement.
