Nancy Murray the Jr. Georgia Cattlemen of the year and the reigning Miss GA Angus Princess, brought her Angus Cow and Calf to school to read an Ag Book to all the students. She explained what agriculture was, all the jobs related to agriculture, and all the products from agriculture in Georgia. GA Farm Bureau donated pencils, coloring books, and maps of Georgia commodities. Nancy wants to help the Georgia Cattlemen's Association help students understand the important role agriculture plays in their lives daily. She wants to help the students understand where their food comes from and who grows it. Thank you Nancy for helping us celebrate Ag Literacy Day.
