Erin Cooper - Teacher of the Year

CCHS is pleased to announce that Erin Cooper is our 2023 Teacher of the Year.  Erin has been teaching for 17 years, beginning her career in Nassau County at Callahan Intermediate School.  She has also taught at Yulee Middle School and Yulee High School in Nassau County.  Erin has taught everything from 5th grade to College English.  CCHS was fortunate to welcome Erin as the American Literature and College English teacher in 2021, and she has been a member of our faculty ever since.

Erin is a graduate of the University of North Florida, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees.  Erin comes from a long line of educators, and she has had inspirational teachers to look up to her whole life.  She loves teaching and she is truly humbled and honored to be chosen as the teacher of the year.

Each month at CCHS, students receive a teacher of the month survey to nominate a teacher that they feel exemplifies the character word for that month consistently.  Erin is nominated each month.  Not surprisingly, she has been selected as the “encouraging” teacher of the month for the past two years.  We are so proud of Erin!  She has a passion for teaching, and she displays care and concern for her students daily!  Please help us congratulate her on receiving this honor!

We would also like to applaud the educators that have been selected as Teacher of the Year at our feeder schools. We realize that academic achievement is a group effort, and we want to thank the teachers at Folkston Elementary School (Kelly Jones), Saint George Elementary School (Kelli Chesser), and Bethune Middle School (Conner Gowen) for helping pave the way for our students at CCHS.
