The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) has extended the deadline for applications to April 15th. Applications can be picked up at CCHS on Wednesday (4/1/2020) from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Applications must be returned to CCHS on April 15th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

ATTENTION DUAL ENROLLMENT STUDENTS: Your college classes have transitioned to an online format. It is very important for you to check your college email and Blackboard accounts. There are assignments to be completed. If you do not take responsibility to log in and complete your work, zeros will be assigned by your instructor.
Any student needing enrollment verification to get a driver’s license can come to the CCHS front office from 10am until 10:30am on each Wednesday while we are out of school.
The GHSA has cancelled both weekends of the State Literary Competition. Please direct all questions to the GHSA office.

PROM NEWS: All students planning to attend prom should visit our Facebook page for more information about the prom dress code. Any student in attendance, as well as their guest, is expected to adhere to prom dress code rules.

The home basketball game scheduled for this Saturday, January 25th has been moved to Monday, January 27th at 5:30. This is senior night at CCHS. Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends at Irwin County High School.

CCHS Holiday Art Show and Holiday Band Concert- These events will be on Thursday, December 12, 2019. The art show will begin at 6:00 pm in the art room. The band concert will begin at 7:00 in the CCHS gym.
Upcoming EOC Testing Dates: ELA - December 4th & 5th Math - December 6th & 9th Science - December 10th Social Studies - December 11th Students and parents, please mark these dates on your calendar. Students, get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast on test days.
Progress reports go home with students Wednesday, November 13. Please have them signed and returned by Friday. Turn your progress report to your 1st block teacher. Also, parent conference day is Thursday at CCHS from 3:20 until 5:00.

CCHS will hand out report cards and school pictures on Wednesday morning during homeroom. Report cards should be signed and returned to your 1st block teacher.
On Thursday, October 10th there will be a senior meeting with the Herff Jones representative at 9:30 am.
The Maidens travel to Wheeler County Wednesday for a double header. The game times are 4:00 and 6:00. This is the first round of the state playoffs. Good luck Maidens.
Congrats to our students of the month! These students were selected by CCHS faculty and staff for showing readiness! These students are prepared and dependable. They know their purpose in the classroom and all areas of the school. They are driven to succeed in class, on the field and in our community!

We have a starting guard in the WNBA finals, a defensive back in the NFL, a seventh round pick in the MLB draft, and a NFL Hall of Famer in the same year. There may not be another town in America that can say that. They are Courtney Williams, Chris Milton, L.J. Talley, and Champ Bailey. All four are graduates of CCHS. We are proud of all of them.
CCHS graduation will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, May 22, 2020. We wanted to let everyone know early.
The next blood drive at CCHS will be held on Wednesday, November 6. All students and staff are encouraged to participate. Students under the age of 17 need parent permission to participate. Please see Mrs. Haynes or Ms. Lee for the link to sign up.
Big home softball game Thursday, September 12th against Lainer County. The JV game is at 4:00 with the varsity at 6:00.
