School officials have been closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian through daily briefings with the National Weather Service. At this time, our plans are to continue school as planned. The safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff are always our highest priority.

Hurricane Dorian has the potential to bring heavy rain to the Charlton County area by the middle of next week. The storm may be monitored by following the National Weather Service National Hurricane Center (@NWSNHC on Facebook).

Should the weather situation change, any announcements about potential closures or event cancellations will be posted at, on Facebook (@Charlton County School System) and Twitter (@Charlton Schools); shared with area news media; sent directly to students, faculty, and staff through the Thrillshare Alert System via text message, push notifications and voice call.
